Beyond Technique: Domenico Petruzziello on Music That Comes from the Heart
Italian violinist Domenico Petruzziello has been awarded the Diamond Prize in the Performances – Soloist category at the Global Best Creative Awards 2025 Season 1 for his powerful and emotionally charged interpretation of Paganini.
“When I play Paganini’s music, I feel something indescribable,” Domenico shares. “It gives me energy—I’m able to express everything I feel. There’s everything in this music: technique, virtuosity, melody. With Paganini, I can let out everything that’s inside me.”
For Petruzziello, Paganini isn’t just a composer—he is the violin. In his own words, music must be more than just notes and execution: “When you perform, you must express yourself with your heart. The goal is to make the listener feel something real—to transmit the emotion of the music through every sense.”
It’s this passionate, human approach that defines Petruzziello’s artistry and earned him top recognition among soloists in this international season.
