Design in Harmony with Nature: ‘Forest Character’ Awarded Diamond Prize

At the 2025 Spring Future Art & Design Award, the project Forest Character by the team from EASYBUREAU was honored with the Diamond Prize. The jury praised the project as “a well-executed design with clear vision and artistic care—elegant, balanced, and thoughtfully detailed.”

Located on a plot adjacent to a diverse forest landscape, the project embraces a minimal-intervention approach. Instead of over-designing the extensive site, the team focused on the area surrounding the house, carefully shaping the front garden and creating a vegetable plot that combines ornamental flowers, herbs, and fruit-bearing plants.

At the back of the house, a spacious terrace provides a seamless transition from cultivated garden to untouched forest. Trees and ornamental shrubs were planted irregularly to enhance privacy, complemented by a rich undergrowth of ferns, sedges, and native forest flowers. Special attention was given to seasonal visual interest and composition, ensuring that each panoramic window offers a unique and engaging view.

Forest Character demonstrates a harmonious integration between human habitation and the surrounding natural environment, encouraging a deeper connection with nature through design.
